I concur. I myself am not a politician, but, I suppose a better solution would be deflation. We'd have to print less money, pennies have a purpose again, it might ease the poverty epidemic, etc. I don't know, I'm not in the stock market.
And it's easy for them to cut benefits to people who have nothing while at the same time paying subsidies to multi-billion dollar companies. Why, I ask you, are there charities asking for money to help our veterans? Why isn't the government helping our heroes? Because, perhaps, they didn't become cannon fodder like real heroes should and linger on obtrusively using up government funds? Don't put it past them, dearie. These are the same people who think they are a persecuted minority who are being treated like the Jews in Nazi Germany, our 1% of the wealthy holding 1/2 the world's wealth. Tom Perkins says it's like Kristallnacht for him. I'm waiting for one of them to say, "Let 'em eat cake!" Let 'em eat cake? Ahh, but no icing. No icing!
